Currently accepting 2025 applications for The Archives Project

We should have taken more photos. Less phones in our hands - more photos. Saying yes to the present more often. Welcoming spontaneity. Surrendering to the moment. Rallying our friends for happy hour at home. Rushing outside when it stars to pour. Saying yes to snow angels with the kids. Pausing time to hug it out. Insisting on that family shot before we dive into our food. Saying I love you. Less. More. Archives matter when it’s too late to care for them. And really, the quality of our archives follows the value we place on the mundane - on our lives.

The Archives Project is here to help people from all walks of life say yes - to big and small moments alike. Sometimes it’s about appreciating your life exactly as it is - imperfect and meaningful. Other times, it’s about honouring a loved one or a milestone. As a collector of moments, what matters to you matters to me.

This project is also about accessibility - to presence, to documentary photography, to memory. Everyone’s resources look different, and this project was built to offer custom experiences with that in mind.

There is a space below where you can share candidly about your project and the investment that feels right for you and your objectives. I trust that you will fill out out your application with care, respect and honesty. There’s no judgment here.

Pro bono applications are also welcome and will be accepted from time to time. Proposed investments that only cover the hard costs associated with the project will be deemed as such.

You are invited to apply for both local and destination projects - including sessions in Montreal or cities I’ll be travelling to for other work. Other destinations are also welcome and may be put on a waiting list for future travels.

Planned travel for 2025 includes: Guatemala (March-April), Vancouver (May), Spain (July), Ireland (August), Toronto (September), and Gaspésie (TBD).

I will be splitting the rest of my time between my home base in Montreal and other upcoming projects.

Applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and accepted based on fit, emotional resonance and limited availability. If accepted, I’ll provided a tailored proposal with availability details. Some Projects may be placed on a waiting list depending on location, season, and timing. You can expect an answer within one week of your application.
